Meet The Staff
Bethany Borkoski PT, DPT
Bethany Borkoski PT, DPT was born and raised in Aiken, SC. She then went on to receive her degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior from the University of South Carolina in 2009. Bethany then completed the graduate program at the Medical University of South Carolina to receive her doctorate in physical therapy in 2013.
With a heart for pediatrics, Bethany worked in Columbia in the outpatient pediatric clinic at Prisma Health’s Children’s Hospital for the last ten years. During that decade, Bethany worked alongside other PTs, OTs, and SLPs to help kids of all ages thrive.
With the help of her facility dog, Chiver, Bethany works to make therapy fun and successful. Intentional activities and structured sessions make work feel like play! In her free time, Bethany loves to spend time with family, exercise, and be outside.

Chiver
Chiver is a 9-year-old golden retriever-labrador mix. He was trained by Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS), who is also an Assistance Dog International (ADI) accredited organization. Following 2 years of intensive training, he was partnered with Bethany as a facility dog.
Chiver works in the outpatient clinic setting to serve the needs of patients. He recently just passed his 7th recertification to continue working with children. His calm demeanor and happy disposition are wonderful at helping keep patients at ease. Chiver loves laying in the sun, visits to the beach, and lots of treats.
Tia Smith
Tia Smith is an Ohio native and has over 10 years of Customer Service experience and 3 years in Medical Administration. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing at the California University of Pennsylvania.
She recently moved to the Aiken area to be closer to sunshine and family from Pittsburgh PA. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and being outdoors.
COLLEEN LEDERER
Colleen Lederer has over 23 years of Customer Service Experience. 23 years of claim representing, 14 years as a medical claims adjustor, and 9 years as a clerical estimator. She has a strong understanding of ICD9s, ICD10s, HCPC’s, and CPT Coding. She is a great addition to the Saylor PT team. She is a graduate of Kent State University, Kent, OH.
