Dr. Ruth Christiansen, PT, DPT
Dr. Ruth Christiansen, PT, DPT, is a native of northeast Tennessee but spent her later childhood years in Zimbabwe where her parents serve at a mission hospital. It was there she was first exposed to physical therapy from shadowing a local therapist. The therapist was equipped with very few resources but still provided creative and excellent care for her patients. This experience inspired Ruth to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Ruth received her undergraduate degree in Allied Health from Cedarville University in 2012, and then completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015 at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago IL. She has spent the past 2 years in the Chicagoland area at an outpatient clinic treating various orthopedic and neurological conditions. Ruth approaches treatment using both manual techniques and tailored guided exercises to enhance and aid the healing experience. In her spare time, Ruth spoils her 2 nieces and nephew, travels, and watercolors whenever she can!
